Summary
I have used this grill on many trips with my WK2, XJ, Tacoma and do like it overall.
Issues that I found are:
1. every time I get all 5 tires rotated, due to the decreased diameter of the now spare tire, the fit is not as snug as I would like it to be. And when your spare tire is on the rear bumper, it becomes an issue. The solution to that is thankfully simple but not perfect - ratchet strap. running a ratchet strap over the diameter of the tire and grill legs will make sure it stays in place. You just have to remember to not lose the ratchet strap and take extras.
2. As one would expect, anything on the outside of the vehicle, especially in the back will get nice and dirty. Here in Arizona we run mostly dirt roads which kick up a lot of dust. If the grill is not cleaned from the grease from grilling, ALL the dust will stick to it. So just make sure you scrape off and clean the grill after cooking.
3. It's easy to steal. I purchased a bike cable lock that secures it to the wheel. It is a somewhat pain in the ass solution as there is not a lot of space to maneuver. I am thinking about welding a short chain to one of the legs that will be just long enough to go over the spare tire and attach to the bumper. That chain will then act as extra security in keeping the grill attached to the vehicle when hauling ass up the freeway or running down washboard roads.
